PRESTRESSED CONCRETE STRAND
American Spring Wire Corporation manufactures PC strand wire in a 7-strand configuration in both stress relieved and low relaxation grades. Diameters range from 3/8" (9.53 mm) to .600" (15.24 mm).
High Quality Prestressed Concrete Strand
ASW PC strand is used extensively in pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete structures, including bridges, parking decks, and industrial and commercial buildings. American Spring Wire PC strand is manufactured from US produced steel wire rod using the same metallurgical expertise and proprietary processes that have made us a leader in the manufacturing of high tensile spring wire.
Our PC strand is made from high carbon steel as a 7-strand cable in both stress relieved and low relaxation grades. Tensile strength for both grades is rated at 270 ksi, minimum. Low relaxation strand is available in the following sizes:
- 3/8" 270K (9.53 mm) Low Relaxation
- 1/2" 270K (12.70 mm) Low Relaxation
- 1/2" 270K (12.70 mm) Stress Relieved
- 1/2" 270K Oversize (13.38 mm) Low Relaxation
- 9/16" 270K (14.27 mm) Low Relaxation
- 9/16" 270K Oversize (14.50 mm) Low Relaxation
- .600" 270K (15.24 mm) Low Relaxation
